Kenya Tea Development Agency (KTDA) has started a project that will see its 600,000 farmers countrywide replace moribund tea bushes with a new variety known as TRFK 300.

Weight falsification and theft is no longer concern for tea farmers who, for two years now, have enjoyed the use of smart card which automatically records the weight of the commodity thus eliminating human error.
